Born and raised in Morganza, Louisiana—a community just 30 minutes outside of Baton Rouge—Devan Washington has a heritage steeped in the rich, vibrant flavors of true Cajun and Creole cooking. 

This lifelong passion is the foundation for his restaurant, Dakajun Xpress, located in Summerville, South Carolina. Devan specializes in authentic Cajun and Creole dishes, masterfully recreating the complex spices and comforting tastes of his home state. 

While he's been cooking all his life, he has been perfecting his craft professionally since 2016, delighting customers with his signature creations. Patrons of Dakajun Xpress consistently rave about his top three, must-try dishes: the classic Boiled Crawfish, his mouth-watering Fried Ribs, and the unique, indulgent Kajun Shrimp Pasta Stuffed Turkey Leg.
