A native of Manning, South Carolina, Joey R. Hilton developed a passion for the arts, academics, music, and history at an early age. After graduating from Manning High School, he attended Claflin University on an Art Scholarship before transferring to South Carolina State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media.
During his collegiate years, Joey’s artistic talents expanded beyond traditional artwork. As commissions increased, so did the demand for his graphic design work, establishing the foundation for a career centered on creativity, visual storytelling, and media.
Joey’s love for music and history has continued to influence his creative vision. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with recording artists, music producers, songwriters, businesses, and organizations, using design and visual media as a way to connect creativity with culture and history.
Today, Joey serves as a Mass Communications and Art Professor, Creative Director, and Graphic Designer for several companies. Through education, design, and creative direction, he continues to inspire others while bringing together his passions for art, music, history, and storytelling.
