Whiskey Wine & Blues Employee Agreement
Welcome to the Whiskey Wine & Blues Festival!
Our BIG day is near, and we can feel the excitement! Please read this document carfullly, at it serves as the definitive agreement and final set of instructions regarding your participation in the upcoming event. Your signature below confirms your understanding and agreement to all terms and conditions outlined herein.
Event Date: November 1, 2025
Event Location: South Carolina State Fairgrounds, 901 George Rogers Blvd., Columbia, SC 29201
Position & Compensation
- Bartenders: $25/hour + tips
- Head Security: $25/hour
- Security Team: $20/hour
All tips earned may be kept by the staff member. There is no overtime and no negotiating of hourly rate. Payment will be sent within 24 hours after the event concludes via Zelle or CashApp only.
Time and Attendance Policy
Active Duty: The agreed-upon hourly rate begins only when the staff member is actively performing their assigned role.
Tardiness: Tardiness will result in prorated pay calculated from the actual start time of active duty.
Early Departure: Leaving before the event is officially completed (5:30 PM, or as directed by an Event Coordinator) will result in the forfeiture of the agreed-upon hourly rate in full.
Event Day Expectations
Arrival, Setup, and Check-In
Mandatory Arrival Time: All staff must arrive and check in no later than 10:00 AM.
Setup Period: Setup is scheduled from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM.
Late Arrival: Staff arriving after 10:00 AM may be denied entry and considered in breach of this agreement, potentially forfeiting compensation.
Staff Entry: All staff must enter through Gate 11 on Bluff Road. After unloading, all vehicles must be moved to the designated staff parking area by 10:00 AM. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Parking & Access
Upon entry, you will receive a parking pass, staff pass, and wristband.
Vehicle Relocation: After unloading, all vehicles must be moved to the designated staff parking area by 10:00 AM. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Festival Operations
VIP Entry: 11:00 AM
Festival Hours: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
End of Shift: Staff may not leave or begin breakdown duties before 5:30 PM.
Emergency Contact: In the event of an emergency, call Veronica at (803) 638-8689.
End of Event Responsibilities
Staff are required to complete the following duties before departure:
- Break down your assigned station completely.
- Clean and remove all trash from your area.
- Follow the instructions of Event Coordinators for exit and vehicle loading.
Waste Disposal: Dumpsters are provided for staff waste. Public trash cans are NOT to be used for staff waste.
Acknowledgment and Acceptance
By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to all terms and conditions listed in this Event Staffing Agreement. I understand that failure to comply with any term, including time and attendance policies or assigned duties, may result in the complete forfeiture of compensation.
